About TradeLedge

A practical ledger for trim jobs

TradeLedge connects confirmed trim measurements with purchased stock, job cost, a customer quote and recorded actuals. It is built for finish carpenters and small renovation operators who want to inspect the numbers behind a job.

How the tools work

Calculations run in your browser. Visitor tools are free and require no registration or runtime AI service. Supplier lengths and prices come from your entries; there is no live price feed.

The stock planner uses one-dimensional straight stock, keeps material/profile groups separate and budgets one kerf for every extracted piece plus allowance at both ends. It uses a bounded heuristic and reports pieces it cannot place. A plan is an estimate to review, not a promise of mathematically optimal cuts.

Pricing uses purchased stock and entered costs. Margin and markup use distinct formulas; optional tax is separate. The measurement guide and pricing example show the assumptions with hand calculations.

Your local work

Jobs are saved on this device and browser when storage is available. Backups are the way to move or recover your data. The customer quote uses a separate set of customer-facing fields; a full backup contains private information.
